Governor of Poker is one of the most popular poker video games, and recently they’ve created part 2 of the game. The story is similar to the first part, and you will travel across multiple cities and play poker with better and better opponents.

Governor of Poker 2 includes 19 cities, 27 salons and tens of opponents. Here are some useful tips to help you beat the game.

  1. Be patient – don’t expect to finish the entire game from the first attempt. Play a few games first in order to get used with the style and features of the game. Take your time and be patient because you will need many hours, if not days or weeks to finish the game
  • Own cities – the more cities you own, the bigger your daily income will be. This income will then allow you to play in tournaments and earn even more cash. And even if you lose some of the tournaments, you will still have money coming in from the cities
  • Increase your reputation – there are many ways in which you can do this, one of them being to replay certain games in a city and improve your score. You do need to play bigger cities with tougher opponents, but once in a while it may help to replay some easier games and regain your confidence
  • Be aggressive – many believe that the more aggressive you are in the game, the bigger your chances to win. So try to steam your opponents or make them tilt
  • Go all-in – many players have reported that the bots in the game usually fold when you go all in. So try to bluff them as much as possible. Of course, the bots will play the hand if they have good cards, so be careful when you go all in
  • Fold poor hands – players have reported that most of the times when they had poor hands and folded them, they got better cards in the next hand. Of course that it doesn’t happen all the time, but sometimes it helps to fold a bad hand as soon as possible
  • Bots are not that good with pairs – it seems that your computer opponents will not make too much of a difference between high pairs and low ones.  So sometimes they end up going all in even with weak hands. If you feel that your cards are good enough, don’t hesitate to call their all ins
  • Don’t cheat – while some bugs have been discovered in the game so you can win more easily, it’s not recommended to do it. The game is supposed to be enjoyed over a longer period of time, and not just to be finished in a few minutes.
